These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern all transactions with Farm Delights Ltd ("we", "us", "our") for livestock, genetic materials, meat products, and farm equipment sold globally through our website (www.farmdelights.co.uk), auctions, or private treaty. By placing an order, you ("Buyer") agree to these legally binding Terms.
1. Scope of Operations
Farm Delights Ltd provides:
- Livestock: Pedigree cattle, sheep, goats, and breeding stock
- Genetic Materials: Semen, embryos, and breeding rights
- Meat Products: Premium grass-fed beef, lamb, and goat
- Equipment: Farm machinery and handling systems
Global Service: We operate worldwide with regional specialists in:
- UK & Europe:
- Americas
- Oceania
- Asia
2. Payment Terms
2.1 Standard Payment Structure
- 40% non-refundable deposit required to secure livestock
- 60% balance due upon delivery or collection
- Full payment required for orders under £5,000
2.2 Accepted Methods
- Bank transfer (SWIFT/BIC for international)
- Credit/debit cards (+1.5% processing fee)
- Letter of Credit (for orders >£50,000)
Note: Livestock remains Farm Delights property until full payment is received.
3. Livestock Transactions
3.1 Health Guarantees
- 30-day health warranty against notifiable diseases
- All animals vaccinated according to country of destination
- Pre-shipment veterinary certificates provided
3.2 International Shipments
- Quarantine periods arranged per import regulations
- Buyer responsible for all import duties and VAT
- Air/sea freight costs calculated at time of order
4. Delivery & Risk
- UK/EU: Delivery within 14 working days
- International: 4-8 weeks (including quarantine)
- Risk transfers to Buyer upon loading at our farm
- Live tracking provided for air shipments
5. Returns & Disputes
5.1 Livestock Returns
- Health-related returns require independent vet report
- No returns for breeding performance disputes
- Replacement or credit offered at our discretion
5.2 Dispute Resolution
- Mediation required before legal action
- Claims must be filed within 90 days
6. Governing Law
- UK contracts: Scots law, courts of Edinburgh
- EU contracts: Vienna Convention (CISG)
- Other regions: UNIDROIT Principles
