In Calf To: Hereford Stock Bulls
Stock Description: Here we have a very nice group of Hol/Fr cows calving in a 6 week block from early Autumn in calf to Hereford stock bulls. These cows come from an autumn block calving herd and for sale due to calving outside of their block. The cows are Hol-Fr bred with 30 being 600-650 kg. There are 10 smaller cows in the 520-550kg bracket. We would split the 2 groups. The cows are of good conformation all correct in the udder with good feet and legs. Currently in their working clothes out wintered on fodder beet and big bales. All cows are cubicle trained.
Production Capacity: Herd performance in excellent 7750 litres, 4.7% fat, 3.5% pro, 654 kg milk solids per cow from an 650 kg mature weight cow so very efficient cows. These cows would fit into a more intensive system or would be happy in a spring calving system.
Age & Lactation: The cows are a young group in general but are a variety of ages, all cows are functionally correct.
Health Status: The herd is individually Johnes monitored. Vaccinated for IBR, BVD, Lepto and Salmonella. The herd is in a 6 month TB testing area.
Unique Selling Point: Mid size 600-650 kg cows with the capability of efficiently converting forage into milk and high milk solids.
