Stock Description: Here we have a group of homebred surplus in calf heifers for sale only selling as overstocked due to a large surplus of heifers, the result of sexed semen. The heifers are all Ai sired Viking Red or Holstein-Friesian. The heifers are well grown and are ready to loose their winter coat once out on some spring grass and sunshine. All 30 heifers due in late Autumn in calf to either Hereford or Angus stock bulls. These heifers will mature into mid size cows with strengh and dairy character with the ability to produce high solids milk in a variety of systems. They are for sale as one group.
Production Capacity: The herd performs well on grazed grass in summer and grass and maize silage in winter achieving 7550 litres @4.54 fat 3.55 pro 629kg milk solids per cow.
Age & Lactation: The heifers will be calving in at 24-27 months off age.
Health Status: The herd is Johnes monitored and none of the heifers are out of known red cows. The herd is in a 12 month TB testing area with no reactors found on farm. The heifers are located in the BT zone so will need testing if moved out of the zone.
