Stock Description: Here we have 100 homebred Spring 24 born heifers on target for serving this Summer. They come from a spring herd of medium size (550-600 kg) cows the breeding of the herd is all AI sired by Viking Red x Hol-Fr, this has bred a very durable mid size cow that is capable of grazing grass well and walking to the paddocks. The mature cows have wide chests and deep bodys with well attached udders. The heifers themselves are in great condition and will hit the ground running on turnout. These heifers would be ideal for a spring block or variety of other systems. Ideally for sale as a whole group or would split into 2 unselected groups of 50.
Production Capacity: The herd is producing over 6150 litres @ 4,84% fat and 3.65% pro on a simple spring system these heifers would be capable of higher yields on a more intensive system.
Age & Lactation: The heifers were all born in Summer and all AI sired.
Health Status: The herd is Johnes monitored with no heifers from known red cows, the herd is in a 12 month TB testing area and has had no reactors.
